Imperfection

A few months ago, I picked up this book about learning how to draw comics. The author brought out an important point that I like a lot. Look for the imperfect line. Keep drawing lots of imperfect lines. Don't press too hard. Just keep drawing until you feel the shape is there. Then you apply the final touches. But the final touches are just what they are. It's the imperfections that matter. The sketches of life. They form the details. The finished look are merely a shell of the finest details.

Look for the imperfect line, the imperfect phrase & the imperfect person. They are a lot bigger than the end-result.
